Native
to Ontario, Ford holds a B.Sc. in Life Sciences which
he received at Queen's University in Kingston in 1985.
He subsequently moved to Toronto where he worked on
research projects at the University of Toronto.
Ford's musical training began at an early age. Much
of his training has been at the Royal Conservatory of
Music and he holds an A.R.C.T. in Piano Pedagogy.
Believing that every true teacher is also a student,
his musical studies are ongoing.
A teacher and performer, Ford teaches independently
and maintains a busy studio. He an active member of
the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association and
served on the Toronto Central Branch Executive as Convenor
of Auditions and Recitals for seven years. He believes
all students have inherent ability and designs lessons
according to the individual's needs. He is dedicated
and considers it a privilege to teach others.
