| Problem: | Hating to echo my concern that I expressed on 2007/07/20 at 13:22, but it's getting worse. I'm finding now that people with yahoo email accounts, and some people with h0tmail accounts, are not receiving my emails. This needs to be fixed, asap. After all, what's the use of having an email address if you can't send anyone an email? I hate to say it, but if this doesn't get fixed, I'll have a tough time recommending the toronto freenet to people anymore. |

Sorry it didn't work >out. > >~XXX@freenet.toronto.on.ca>: (xxx replaced my id) >Sorry, I couldn't find any host named freenet.toronto.on.ca >(#5.1.2)" Tried sending myself mail from another account, XXX@freenet.toronto.on.ca got the failure message.. but the XXX@torfree.net address worked fine.. thought this might help with the detection. g |

| Problem: | I would just like to echo Claudio's concern that some people have been unable to reach me (who, in the past, were able to). Usually it is people sending email to me from company websites, IE, user@opseu.org, or user@powerscore.com. People from these agencies would get an error message like: "The following recipient(s) could not be reached: (dg135@torfree.net) on 7/18/2007 5:13 PM Could not deliver the message in the time limit specified. Please retry or contact your administrator. " It's a bit worrisome that some people cannot send email to me. (Spammers, however, seem to have no problem reaching me, but that is another issue) |

| Problem: | Some people who've tried to email me lately are getting "unable to send email" or "email address doesn't exist" type errors. This has only started within the last week (June 17~24/2007), they have sent me emails previously without problems. Any thoughts as to what it could be? - Claudio |

| Problem: | winxp; 56K modem. one-plus member on-peak session no problem, the service is excellent. But off-peak session each night starting after 12 a.m. will only last 2 minutes and then cut out. They do not care about their service. Had queried the office@torfree.net They never answer the problem. This description of problem had to be completed by dialing 6 times. i.e 2 mins sessions for 6 times. |

| Problem: | I have been trying to contact anyone about my account. I have forgotten the password to my account and cannot login, I have tried emailing all the eamil account listed on the contact page, but my emails simply get bounced back as undeliverable. I imagine I would get the same response sending to probadm@torfree.net. All of my emails from ai524 get forwarded to my work account, so you can simply reach me by emailing ai524. You will need to provide me with a return address that I can reply to though. Thank you for your quick response to this. |

| Problem: | Subject: Lynx access? Since your move to a new server, I haven't been able to get Lynx access after choosing 2 from the main menu; it seems that I don't see all the directories I used to, including the one that offered Lynx access. Can you please fix this? P.S. I've tried to email this message to probadm@torfree.net 3 times - and it bounced back as undeliverable, each time! Thanks, John Vinokur bp792 |

| Problem: | Regular freezes continue every half-hour at '09' and '39' minutes. After about four minutes, the system comes back to normal. |

| Problem: | Problem of systematic freeze of TFN continues. Every half-hour, apparently, when the clock strikes either '09' or '39', TFN freezes. |

| Problem: | Noticed many 'freezes' on TFN recently. Noticed further that they occur more frequently when the clock strikes either 09, or 39. Example: 8:39 p.m., 11:39 p.m., 12:09 a.m., 12:39 a.m., 1:09 a.m. As you can see, there appears to be a systematic problem here. |

| Problem: | The problem is with ADSL service (cannot find anywhere to report the problem on tfnet.ca other than e-mail and no response seems forthcoming): My regular POP3 server, IMAP and H-o-t-m-a-i-l (the software rejected this message b/c of that word) accounts are accessible at high speed (sent a 7 MB attachment as a test of smtp.tfnet.ca in under a minute), www.tfnet.ca, www.torfree.net and for some bizarre reason www.library.utoronto.ca (but not http://www.utoronto.ca). www.google.ca, the most important site is inaccessible (as is the rest of the web). Once in a while another web page will load, but very slowly (and sometimes quickly). At first I thought it was the modem, but the fact that www.tfnet.ca loads and e-mail is fast suggests a different problem. Three different computers with three different OSes exhibit this behaviour (Mac OS 9, OS X and Windows 95) so it's not an OS-restricted thing. The ADSL modem is the one provided by tfnet: "Billion BIPAC-711CE ADSL Modem/Router" |
