Good. I understand that there's still a need for text-based service,
especially among the handicapped.

I haven't looked in personally, but a couple of days ago exactly the same
problem was described to me by TFN member Rabin Chatterjee. Since Rabin
is a long-time user of TFN, I suspect that there must be some change at
the TFN site that is making this happen.

My visited to the TFN over the last six months or so have been almost
entirely via Telnet. But I'll try to make a little time and come in on
serial service and see what happens. I'll let you know.
I'll try to run a test from my own location first. Then I'll get back to
you and maybe, if appropriate, I'll contact George.
